Make reservations! This amazing place is only open Fri-Sun for dinner, starting around 6 pm, and the place is cozy with limited number of tables. So you don't want to miss out on possibly the best meal and most authentic Bavarian atmosphere. I had the house special, a pork steak very reminiscent of a peppersteak, with just the right amount of pepper and grilled to perfection. The roast potatoes that accompanied it were done to my liking with a hint of crunchiness that added to the juiciness of the steak. Dessert was a German pancake, stuffed with ice cream, topped with homemade whipped cream and warm raspberry sauce. The staff was very friendly and efficient. It was a nice coincidence that my table was between the bar and the window where the kitchen would place the food. Since I was alone and driving, I did not get to sample the beer or schnaps, but the Apfelschorle was very good and refreshing. An added surprise was the 4-piece band that played traditional music while I was there. I can't recommend this place enough. It is now my favorite place to eat next to the gasthaus in my own town. Looking forward to visiting again.
Great atmosphere and ambience.
A real Bavarian inn with attention to detail and care for hospitality and tradition. A stroke of luck for Hemau!
Traveled from Seattle, WA to visit friends in Hemau and was treated the most interesting Inn in our month long journey! Amazing main room and the food was beyond expectations! When we visit again, this may be the only place we eat!
A sauguads food and very nice and pretty waitresses !!!
Exceptional dishes, very good
Real Bavarian comfort. Great service very good cuisine. Stayed there 3 months ago was just an experience.
Excellent! Very delicious food and great hospitality - always happy.
Really quaint Bavarian economy. The pork knuckle was very good, the salad, even the dumplings had apparently been frozen, they tasted of water. My husband had cabbage with sausages. His opinion: the sausages were cooked sausages, the sauerkraut was lukewarm and tasted of sweeteners. But service was friendly and they have a good apricot brandy.
It is always a highlight to enjoy this fantastic, quaint, cozy atmosphere. There is no superlative for traditional Bavarian delicacies. It is always an experience to be able to inspire friends of this restaurant
Hearty music, quaint decor
Rustic restaurant with friendly service and good food.
Always great. The food and service is great. Keep it up..
Enjoy your meal. Very cozy restaurant. Unfortunately, large room and therefore incredibly loud. Cozy conversations are almost impossible. Too bad.
Very comfortable delicious food and very nice Perdonal
Tach together, I was at Deglbauer for the first time during a company party and I really liked it. Quaint Oberpfälzer establishment, courteous and nice staff and of course an excellent Sposau were the guarantee for a very nice evening. I can not (yet) give five stars because I do not know the "normal" day / evening business. But since I have come to the taste, I will follow at least one visit and then adjust meien accordingly rating. :-D
Super locality, top food and very nice host!
Were here invited to a wedding, quaint ambience, delicious food (if you really like rustic South German food, like roast pork) and super nice service. The outside catering / facilities are certainly great - but it was just too cold.
Very traditional Bavarian family friendly restaurant. Parking is limited, on a busy night you may have to park on the street. It is worth it. Great fun and good times.
We were there on Sunday 06.05.18 for dinner. Gasthaus was really full of communion. Food was very good. Mixed roast with dumplings and salad, my wife had a vegetarian dish of pasta with asparagus tips. Very nice service even the boss did not miss it to ask for the right thing. Unfortunately, the inn is only open on weekends. A visit there is definitely worth it.
super tasty - grainy. The most important thing: the staff is happy and happy at the job !!! ... Bavarian knowledge is an advantage ;-) .... great old stuff on the walls and on the ceiling.
A very rustic and comfortable Bavarian guest house with great atmosphere. The food is fantastic and the service is fast and friendly. I believe they are only open on weekends, and reservations are a good idea because the place fills up fast.
Fantastic
A traditional restaurant with surprising decoration, an exemplary cook and an extremely warm welcome. Thank you for this wonderful musical evening. We will come back as soon as possible. Do not miss...
